Preparing for Emergencies
Catastrophic events, such as the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, bring to the forefront the impact of a natural disaster and the importance of emergency preparedness. As a district, we remain diligent in our monitoring of emergency situations and advisories from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Washington Department of Health, and Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management.
The FEMA website provides suggestions for creating emergency preparedness kits and planning guides for all types of emergency situations. Go to www.fema.gov
and click on "Are you Prepared?" for more information.
