Mission Statement

The Mission of the Lakewood School District Transportation Department is to provide safe transportation to and from school for its students, to promote respectful, responsible ridership on its buses, to furnish thorough training for its school bus drivers and to cultivate favorable public relations between the department and the community.

Our fleet consists of 26 buses. We employ 22 regular school bus drivers, a driver trainer/dispatcher, and two mechanics.

Lakewood School District buses traveled approximately 265,000 miles last school year on regular to and from school routes and extra curricular activity and field trips.
